The true story of Powell Worthy and how it got it's name!!! Since, I was little I have always wanted a boat no matter how big or small. In 2007, I bought an old aluminum boat that I enjoyed but it was too small to take to Lake Powell. I sold the aluminum boat, saved up a little more money and purchased "Shiz Worthy" according to what my dad called it until we fixed it up and earned it's true name...Powell Worthy!!! Powell Worthy has lived up to the name having traveled all the way up to Last Chance Bay from Antelope Point Marina.
The transom was rotting away so Pops and I had to take the motor off and put some serious steel supports on the transom so the motor didn't fall into the lake as it almost did at Lake Powell.
The new supports of steel...we had to fix the drain hole, repaint the insides, put down board supports for the floor, fix the bearings, you name it, Pops and I had to do it!
Robert Clement a.k.a "Pops" is an all time Platinum Member of B.R.A. because without Pops help and hard work, Powell Worthy would never live up to the name.
The C.E.O.s of The Bass Riders Association!!!
Aaron Harward the other C.E.O. of the B.R.A. was in a Bass Tournament up north and could not make it to the B.R.A. photo shoot...but we will have future posts with him!
